🤔What: Activities at the Fireworks Show will include music and multiple food trucks! Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, and activities for their families to enjoy. Please refrain from bringing coolers, pets, or personal fireworks including sparklers, so we can keep this a safe event for everyone!

🗓When: The park will be closed for the day on July 2nd, opening at 6 p.m. to allow for parking on site, with the Fireworks Show beginning at 9 p.m.

🚘: In addition to limited parking inside Wendell Community Park, parking will also be available downtown, so be sure to stop by one of Wendell’s local businesses and grab a sip and a bite before the festivities! Shuttle buses will be running from the Park and Ride lot at 108 E Fourth Street to Wendell Park from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. for those parking downtown. Please see the Shuttle Bus Map for more information. Planning on dropping off spectators? Please drop off attendees at the loop in front of Town Hall, located at 409 Landing View Drive.

⚠️This event will draw large crowds to the Community Center and downtown area, which will affect normal traffic. The Wendell Police Department will be providing traffic control and security throughout the evening, with certain streets blocked off to traffic to allow for pedestrian safety and traffic flow.

🅿️Wendell Community Park can hold up to 500 vehicles and will be accepting cars until they are full. Once the park has reached this capacity, vehicle access will be closed. Those with handicap placards will need to use Landing View Drive to enter the park. Third Street and Cook Street will be the primary entrance for pedestrian traffic and will be closed to vehicles. Handicap parking has been designated near the tennis courts and is listed in blue on the map. Please see the Wendell Park Event Map for more information.

🚶‍♀️The park will be closing immediately after the Fireworks Show. When leaving the park, cars will solely exit the park by using Landing View Drive with traffic control in place.
