LeVelle Moton Park
Formerly Lane Street Park, LeVelle Moton Park is named in honor of Coach LeVelle Moton, who was born and raised near the park. As a kid, Moton frequented the basketball courts at the park. He is the head coach of North Carolina Central University, founded the Velle Cares Foundation, and sponsors the annual LeVelle Moton Back to School Community Day at the Raleigh Boys & Girls Club.Â
